6J rim width tire fitment
6J rim width: first-pass tire widths
6J has an editorial screening range of approximately 155-185 mm section width. This is not a fitment approval: verify the exact tire maker data sheet, vehicle clearance and load requirements.

Rim-width sources reviewed
The approval boundary and verification method were checked against current ETRTO publication material and Michelin manufacturer guidance. The numeric screening table is TireFitLab editorial data, not a reproduction of a current ETRTO or T&RA approval table.
- ETRTO recommendations: use only approved rim sizes
- ETRTO Standards Manual catalogue: current tire and rim standards

How to use this range
Rim width compatibility is a first-pass check, not the whole fitment decision. A tire can be inside the section-width range and still fail because of vehicle clearance, load rating, speed rating, offset, centre bore or local approval rules.
For a final decision, match the tire maker's approved rim range, the vehicle placard and the wheel specification. Wider or narrower rims can change sidewall shape, steering feel and rim protection even when the tire mounts physically.
