A stretched fitment mounts a tire on a rim wider than the rim-width range its section width is normally screened against, pulling the sidewalls outward; a rim narrower than the range pinches them inward instead. This calculator derives the screening rim-width range for your tire’s section width and shows where your rim sits — within the range, or how many inches beyond it. It is a geometry screening of nominal dimensions only, not a fitment guarantee: the approved rim range for the exact tire model comes from the manufacturer’s data sheet.

Before fitting
  • Check the vehicle placard and owner’s manual first.
  • Match or exceed the required load index and speed rating.
  • Confirm rim-width range, bolt pattern, hub bore, offset and fasteners.
  • Inspect wheel-arch, suspension and brake clearance under real vehicle load.
  • Check TPMS, cold pressure and local roadworthiness rules.

Final fitment must use the approved rim-width range for the exact tire product from the manufacturer’s data sheet, together with the vehicle and wheel documentation.
